Artist Statement:

Amine Shimou’s work explores identity through absence, symbolism, and restraint. Through muted palettes and deliberate stillness, the work invites slow looking and open interpretation, reflecting on what remains when surface markers are removed. Shimou’s process emphasizes solitude and atmosphere.
